A few weeks back we introduced our Replacement Panel Filter Upgrade for the 2021+ TLX Type-S while we were exploring harness/hose mounting solutions for the Stage 1 Intake hose. Now that we have decided upon a direction, we will begin production on these hoses. This kit replaces the corrugated factory inlet hose with our better looking, smoother flowing 4-ply silicone hose. The pleats found in the factory hose disrupts air flow, which limits power potential and throttle response.
This hose will be available by itself (with clamps and hardware as a kit), or available with our air filter as a full Stage 1 Intake System. Stay tuned for more updates to come!
It is important to note that that TLX-S comes from the factory with an extremely large air box and air filter, using almost every inch of space available in the engine bay (much like the MKV Toyota Supra). Going off of our scan data, we do not feel that developing a new air box or full intake system will provide any notable gains over the factory intake system. For this reason we will be offering simple, cost-effective components that improve the factory intake system.
